Integration of Nursing Practices

Catalog description

This is the culminating nursing practicum course, which is designed to prepare the student for the real work environment of an RN. During this practicum, the student provides therapeutic care using evidence-based practice, the nursing process, therapeutic communication, and teaching/learning principles within the role of an RN. The student will work with a preapproved preceptor RN in a preapproved clinical setting following the same clinical schedule as the preceptor RN. The student will work side by side with the preceptor in the clinical setting with the same caseload and responsibilities of the preceptor RN.
