Catalog description

This course focuses on assistive technology and modifications to the activities and environment performed by occupational therapists to support clients’ ability to engage in occupations. The course includes evaluation, assessment selection, and intervention planning as well as training in use of high- and low-tech assistive technology and application of universal design principles. Students will have an opportunity to design an assistive device for a client to facilitate occupational performance and participation in valued contexts.
