Catalog description

Course focuses on physical therapy management of the well and medically complex older adult. It incorporates evidence-based practice and knowledge of lifespan development into clinical decision making. Emphasis is placed on the selection of screening, examination, and outcome measurement tools, determination of medical necessity, prognosis, care coordination and plan of care development. Additional emphasis is placed on health prevention and safety, differentiating normal and abnormal aging, interprofessional communication, and the selection, progression, and modification of interventions.
