Catalog description

Students will be introduced to and learn the foundational concepts of physical therapy evaluation, intervention, and discharge planning in the acute care hospital setting. Highlighted topics are interprofessional care communication, precautions and contraindications, principles of early mobilization and walking in the ICU, as well as medical management of common health conditions across systems.
