Catalog description

Provides life-long learning strategies to medication therapy management (MTM) in an outpatient pharmacy practice through selected pharmacy patient case presentations. Students will use team-based learning (TBL), an instructional active learning approach that utilizes life-long learning strategies, to solve cases. The selected pharmacy patient cases may include, but are not limited to asthma, COPD, diabetes, dyslipidemia, hypertension, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, Heart failure, and depression. Students will complete MTM training via MTM platforms such as MTM outcomes. Students practice the MTM with using their knowledge and skills to provide quality care, and thus reflect the values of serving passion, patient-centered care, communication and collaboration, and life-long learning.
