Debate, Advocacy & Mock Trial

Catalog description

Provides students with a framework of concepts and principles to reinforce research process; critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and debate as well as advocacy skills. Student-groups collaborate on assignments which serve as benchmarks in the semester-long project timeline and include: researching pros and cons of a controversial pharmacy practice or pharmacotherapy-related topic, evaluating evidence; debating (both pros and cons) as means of trial preparation, developing arguments, roles and trial strategies.
