Catalog description

Examines the costs and consequences associated with the use of pharmaceutical services and products. Students will understand the importance and clinical relevance of pharmacoeconomics and how clinical decision-making is driven by economic, clinical, and humanistic outcomes. The course will introduce concepts such as costs, economic evaluation, and health-related quality of life. At the end of the course, students should be able to apply economic principles to pharmaceutical care problems encountered in pharmacy practice.
