Catalog description

Discusses foundational information designed to develop an understanding of a pharmacist’s role in public health and within the healthcare system. Healthcare in the United States will be evaluated through discussion of care delivery, policy, financing, and the workforce. Core areas of public health will be explored including epidemiology, determinants of health, principles of health promotion and disease prevention, micro versus macro levels of public health, and population-based interventions that impact diverse patients and populations.
