Catalog description

Provides understanding of the basic principles of community pharmacy practice in preparation for Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs). Pharmacy Practice Foundations II builds on self-care therapeutics concepts introduced in Pharmacy Practice Foundations I including vitamins, supplements, and tobacco cessation treatment; signs and symptoms of common self-treatable diseases; pharmacological and non-pharmacological preventive measures and treatments; strategies for engaging in effective communication and utilization of motivational interviewing with patients.
