Catalog description
Provides an opportunity to build and develop essential skills integrating knowledge from didactic courses. This lab includes hands-on compounding using aseptic techniques. The students will also practice patient counseling and interviewing skills pertaining to both prescription and non-prescription medications, and tobacco cessation. Students will critique and evaluate scientific literature to reinforce evidence-based medicine practice. This lab is the second in a series of six sequential practicums.
