Surgery Supervised Clinical Practice

Catalog description

Provides direct patient care clinical experiences, under the supervision of a clinical preceptor, specific to the practice of surgical medicine. The emphasis is on providing perioperative care to patients, including the evaluation and management of patients presenting with conditions and illnesses commonly seen in the surgical medicine practice setting. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include hands-on clinical experiences with direct patient care and preceptor/clinician formative feedback and evaluations.
