Catalog description

Illustrates current clinical practice guidelines in preparation for PA professional practice relevant to death, dying, and loss, hospice and palliative care, personal wellness, and recognizing and preventing clinician impairment and burnout, and quality improvement. Ethical principles, patient advocacy, billing and coding, risk management, and best practices related to hospice and palliative care are also covered. The course also includes the program’s on-campus summative evaluations. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include certification modules, team-based discussion boards, and presentations.
