Internal Medicine Supervised Clinical Practice

Catalog description

Provides direct patient care clinical experiences, under the supervision of a clinical preceptor, specific to the practice of internal medicine. The emphasis is on providing care to adult and elderly patients, including the evaluation and management of patients presenting with acute and chronic conditions and illnesses commonly seen in the internal medicine practice setting. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include hands-on clinical experiences with direct patient care and preceptor/clinician formative feedback and evaluations.
