Catalog description

Develops person-centered communication and interpersonal skills to promote optimal patient care and management. Skills of motivational interviewing, delivering difficult news, counseling and educating patients, and understanding social determinants of health are emphasized in addition to interprofessional team-based care. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include lectures and small groups, virtual case studies, and online patient and provider resources.
