Catalog description

Demonstrates a system based comprehensive and integrative approach to the study of behavioral medicine. Etiology, presentation and pathophysiology of psychological and psychiatric illness, physical assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology and psychopharmacotherapy, diagnostic methods, treatment plan, and health promotion and disease prevention are discussed and applied. Foundational information is designed to develop an understanding of evolving biomedical sciences throughout the life span as it specifically relates to the field of behavioral medicine. Course delivery methods for teaching and learning include lectures and group activities, episodic video technology, and digital resources.
