Catalog description

Examines PA professional practice from the history of the PA profession to current professional practice understanding and practicing intellectual honesty, academic and professional integrity and conduct, relationships between PAs, physicians, and other healthcare providers, personal wellness and recognizing and preventing clinician impairment and burnout, health policy and healthcare delivery systems, and developing and interpreting medical research are also illustrated. The lab integrates the practical application of the theoretical knowledge learned in the course. The course delivery methods for teaching and learning include web-based resources, discussion board, collaborative learning, professionalism, and a signature assignment.
