Catalog description

This course is an introduction to occupational therapy with children and adolescents. It focuses on occupational behavior, explores developmental theories, occupational therapy frames of reference, and applies it to physical and psychosocial conditions typically seen in children and adolescents. Psychosocial factors influencing engagement in occupation will be integrated for the development of client-centered, meaningful, occupation-based outcomes. The course will incorporate evidence -based practice and apply knowledge to a variety of clinical and community settings.
