Catalog description
Historical development, administration, scoring, interpretation, and report writing of intelligence and achievement tests. This course reviews the history of intellectual and achievement testing, including ethical considerations of assessment. Theories of intelligence and achievement are reviewed, as are the psychometric foundations of the tests. The course focuses on applicable skill development (i.e. how to administer, score, and interpret selected assessment tools) along with best practices in communicating findings (e.g. psychological report writing).
