This course provides the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) student with a comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology across the lifespan. Content focuses on the mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and therapeutic applications of psychotropic medications. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based prescribing, safety, cultural and developmental considerations, and ethical clinical decision-making in psychiatric mental health practice.
