This course provides a comprehensive review of undergraduate-level music theory, designed for graduate students who need to strengthen their theoretical foundation based on performance on the Graduate Assessment Test in Music Theory. Topics include diatonic and chromatic harmony, Roman numeral analysis and figured bass analysis, non-chord tones and harmonic function, modulation and tonicization, voice leading and part writing, and form.
