Catalog description

This course provides a hands-on introduction to practical computing in mathematics. Students develop tested, reusable programs to solve applied problems, with topics including numerical methods for root-finding, matrix computations, data visualization, and program debugging. Emphasis is placed on accurate and effective scientific programming for solving mathematical models.
