Catalog description
This course is designed to provide students with the foundational knowledge needed for teaching an adventure and outdoor pursuits education curriculum in K-12 public schools. In this course, students will a) engage in a developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessments, b) experience best instructional practices, and c) utilize pedagogical content knowledge to plan and implement teaching different segments within an adventure and outdoor pursuits education lesson. The goal of this course is to provide students with opportunities to gain knowledge and skills for the implementation of a quality adventure and outdoor pursuits education course and or lesson(s).
