West Chester University of Pennsylvania · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
The purpose of this course is to prepare students for their applied learning experience, to assist them in their effort to secure an internship placement, and to coach them through the internship search process. This preparation course will include discussions on the comprehensive and integrated application of the MPH core/foundational and MPH concentration-specific competencies in the development of the required outcomes, as prescribed by our accrediting agency, the Council of Education in Public Health (CEPH). Students will select their community practice site for the ALE (Applied Learning Experience) assignments under the supervision of the Applied Learning Experience Faculty Advisor. The ALE Faculty Advisor works closely with the college's internship director to ensure that each placement is carefully reviewed and approved by the university.
