An examination of the complexity and diversity of the physical and human landscapes of the U.S. and Canada. This course explores the diverse landscapes, cultures, and environmental challenges of the United States and Canada. Students will gain a deep understanding of the geographic similarities and differences across the region, from its vast ecoregions to its unique social and cultural phenomena. Course topics include pressing environmental issues such as climate change, habitat loss, hazards, and local responses to these issues.
