This course explores the spatial patterns and processes of climate, its variability across spatial/temporal scales, and human impact and response to climate change. It emphasizes an applied approach to understanding these patterns/processes through mapping and analysis of environmental issues such as global warming, sea level rise, and changes in storm patterns. Using real world local, regional, and global examples, this course provides an understanding of how climate science intersects with geography, GIS, and environmental planning; highlighting strategies for addressing the challenges of climate change.
