Catalog description

This course introduces students to early intervention, children from birth to 5 years old. Students will learn developmental categories and stages, the importance of assessment, how instruction aligns to the strengths and needs of children considered "at-risk" and those identified with a disability, and collaboration with service delivery. Students will gain an understanding that the involvement of families is essential to the education and well-being of young children, especially those from underrepresented groups.
