Catalog description

This course covers curricula, instructional strategies, and classroom environments that facilitate development and learning for young children 3 to 5-years-old with disabilities. This course will focus on the transition from the IFSP to the IEP; from services delivery in the most natural environment to school-age service delivery. Students will learn various assessments used and age-appropriate research-based interventions. As preschool-aged students with disabilities move into more structured classroom environments, students in the course will learn classroom and behavior management strategies.
