Catalog description

This course engages with theory and research on social support and its role in shaping our experiences of social connectedness in the 21st century. Course topics will include exploring how we communicate support, the ways we adapt such communication practices within an increasingly digital social landscape (e.g., social media, legacy media, etc.), and how to better manage our need for support amidst reports of epidemic-levels of loneliness and isolation in the world.
