Catalog description

This course introduces orthopedic biomechanics with a focus on computational modeling of human joints. Students apply biomechanical principles to procedures such as hip and knee replacement and spinal fixation, using Abaqus for finite element analysis and reconstructing 3D models from CT data to create patient-specific simulations. The course integrates theory and practice, culminating in a project to develop and analyze a patient-specific joint model.
