Catalog description

Explores art controversies and considers their impacts on contemporary culture. Students will examine how our political, cultural, and religious landscape becomes a background for art controversies and how our perception of art has been challenged by them. Such issues as censorship, obscenity, taxpayer funds, preservation, repatriation, and vandalism will be covered.
