West Chester University · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
This course examines global climate change through the interconnected lenses of social equity, economic vitality, human health and education, and environmental protection. As the impacts of climate change mount, millions of vulnerable people face disproportionate challenges in terms of extreme events, health effects, food, water, and livelihood security, migration and forced displacement, loss of cultural identity, and other related risks. Students will learn to identify the complexity and seek common solutions that a globally changing climate has had on past, present, and future impacts to human health and to the environment.
