Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to perform in a world-class marching band. Performance competencies resulting from the West Chester University "Incomparable" Golden Rams Marching Band should include, but not be limited to: keen perception, aesthetic sensitivity, creativity, analysis, and evaluation, based upon heightened student musical awareness, enjoyment, and understanding. Other educational outcomes resulting from the WCUIGRMB include improved self-image, teamwork and cooperative learning, critical and higher-level thinking, goal setting/achievement, self-discipline, decision-making, and informed consumerism.
