Foundations of Early Intervention.

Catalog description

This course introduces students to early intervention, children from birth to 5 years old. Students will learn developmental categories and stages; the importance of assessment; how instruction aligns to the strengths and needs of children considered "at risk" and those identified with a disability; and collaboration with service delivery. Students will gain an understanding that the involvement of families is essential to the education and well-being of young children, especially those from underrepresented groups.
