Catalog description
This course provides a scientifically based foundation needed to understand how reading develops, which includes phonological awareness and phonics. Students learn the relationship of fundamental principles to the reading process. Additionally, students learn the role of language skills within reading, spelling, and writing. This course includes field work with a 1st grade student.
