Catalog description
This course serves as an essential first step for students pursuing a career in nursing. The course is designed to provide an overview of the nursing profession, laying the foundation for understanding the role, responsibilities, and ethical considerations of a nurse. Students will explore the core principles of nursing practice and the various roles and specialties within the field, while learning to navigate the rigor of the nursing classroom and national licensure examination for registered nurses' (NCLEX-RN) style questions. Study skills, test-taking strategies, and the principles of responsibility and accountability are central elements in the course.
