Personal Financial Planning

Catalog description
This course introduces the financial planning process. Students will learn principles to guide personal financial decision-making, as well as learn to advise others. There will be a special focus on retirement planning, including discussion of social security, tax considerations, and health care. Credit reporting standards, mortgages, educational expenditures, and various forms of insurance will also be discussed. Detailed analysis and planning will be conducted in Excel.
