Catalog description

Selected problems confronting individuals with special needs in the areas of physical development, therapeutic activities, and physiological performance with a strong emphasis in clinical problems associated with exercise science. Therefore, this course will focus on selected "clinical exercise physiology" problems (such as cardiac, pulmonary, and metabolic disorders, etc.) confronting individuals with special needs in the areas of physical development, therapeutic activities, and daily physiological performance. The primary goal of this class is to acquaint students with a basic knowledge, understanding, and value of cardiac, pulmonary, and metabolic disorders.
