Catalog description

This course introduces electrical energy systems technologies. Topics include fundamentals of energy generation, storage, conversion and end-use. This course covers different energy sources such as coal, nuclear, solar, wind, hydro, biomass, and their application in central and distributed power systems. Students learn various power-system equipment setup, repair, maintenance and troubleshooting techniques using simulation and experimentation.
