Metabolic functions of essential nutrients and their relation to the growth and maintenance of the body. Nutritional requirements of different age levels and dietary assessment. Clinical application of diet therapy is emphasized. Cannot be used to satisfy requirements for a major or minor in biology. Three lecture hours per week.
