This course focuses on the principles of linear algebra as applied to computing and artificial intelligence. Core topics include vectors, linear systems, matrices, least squares, matrix decompositions, eigenvalues, and eigenvectors. Emphasis is placed on developing the computational understanding required for data manipulation, dimensionality reduction, and neural networks. Prerequisites: MATH1825 or MATH1877 (4 credits) spring
