US WOMEN IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Catalog description

This course examines the significance of women and, more broadly, gender in addressing critical challenges faced by US society in the 21st century. Students learn essential frameworks to analyze the role of gender through the lenses of leadership, representation, norms and culture, creative expression, and economics. The course explores the ways in which women are influenced by and are influencing various 21st-century challenges, including those related to the environment, workplace productivity, technology, and health. Prerequisite: Completion of an English Sequence. (4 credit) spring
