WENTWORTH’S HISTORY, CULTURE, AND ARCHITECTURE (HONORS)

Catalog description

This course is a research-based class offering hands-on archival and scholarly research in an interdisciplinary setting. The course examines the rich history of Wentworth’s campus – the physical structure of its buildings and the evolving college culture. Political, cultural, and architectural developments of the campus represent the history of higher education and the political tendencies of the 20th and 21st centuries in the US. Research tools include digital resources and local archives, including Wentworth’s own archive in collaboration with the campus archivist and librarian. Students produce public-facing projects to share what they uncover with the broader campus community. Prerequisites: Completion of an English sequence (4 credits) fall, spring, summer
