1 section
Catalog description
This course presents the theory and practice of digital signal processing (DSP). Topics include discrete-time signals and systems and the Z-transform, analog to digital conversion (A/D), sampling and quantization, discrete-time Fourier transforms (DTFT), and design techniques for finite impulse response (FIR) and infinite impulse response (IIR) digital filters. DSP applications using a programming language are explored in applications such as audio processing and telecommunication. The expected background of students includes knowledge of signals and systems.(3 credits) Spring
