Catalog description
Operating systems manage computer resources like CPU or memory on behalf of user processes. In this course, students learn how the operating system controls access to hardware resources and study algorithms that manage the resources effectively. Students also implement programs that interact directly with the operating system using a low-level language such as C. Prerequisites: COMP1200 and COMP2000 (4 credits) fall
