Catalog description
In addition to a thorough review of how energy is produced, distributed and used in an organization, students examine how facilities, building operations and maintenance organizations are managed. Topics covered include sources, forms, and methods used to manage energy consumption in buildings, how a building operates, and developing an effective operations team. Moveover, this course will study sustainability in a global context and current methods in creating a sustainable work environment using LEED and other modern techniques. Prerequisite: CONM1000 or CONM1050 (3 credits) spring
