Catalog description

Study of the principles of kinetics and kinematics related to the behavior of structures and their components under dynamic loads. In this introductory course, only single degree of freedom systems are addressed. Frequencies and periods of damped and undamped systems are addressed. Harmonic, impulse and arbitrary forces are introduced into the single degree of freedom structures. Also, this course will use the seismic methodologies of the International Building Code.
