Design of earth retaining structures, such as retaining walls, MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) , and SRW (Segmented Retaining Walls), Soil Nail Walls, excavation support walls, and waterfront bulkheads. Topics include earth pressures, retaining wall designs, tieback and anchorages, slurry walls, sheet pile selection, soil nails for excavation stabilization and use of geo-synthetics.
