This course focuses on rivers and watersheds, covering the ecological and human dimensions of issues such water pollution and flooding. Students will analyze local rivers both as natural systems and as resources for human activity, drawing on science as well as public policy and political systems to analyze the challenges and possibilities for sustainable water management on the local level and ;beyond.
