Catalog description

This course considers the relationship between language and power, particularly in the way global languages like English enable populations and societies in positions of power to protect their political, literary, philosophical and religious interests. Experiential component: Students will design and present a conference addressing issues discussed within the course using social media to maximize audience outreach and impact.
