Catalog description

The student examines significant healthcare policy issues. Special emphasis is given to public policies with broad implications, such as Medicare, Medicaid, health insurance reform and health systems costs. The process of policy decision making is explored, and methods and approaches for the study issues are considered. American health policy issues are placed in the international context by comparison with selected other healthcare systems.
